Evy

I was so happy that I was able to be in Philly for the birth of Brad and Alisha's second child and our second grandchild, Evelyn Claire. She is so beautiful. We were starting to get pretty worried that I was going to have to head back to Utah before she arrived, but she made it four days before I was scheduled to leave. I was really glad that it worked out the way it did, as Nathan had a chance to get used to me before having to be at the house alone with just grandma, and he did great! Saturday morning he walked into his parents room and when they weren't there, he held his hands out facing upwards and asked, "where be?" I said, "Daddy and Mommy have gone to the hospital to have your baby sister". That was all the explanation he needed and he was off to play again. I don't think he knew quite what to think of her at first but he is so sweet and gentle with her, and when she cried, he would say, "It's okay, Evy".
